Fen-Phen is a drug which gives an individual long term successful weight loss results. It is manufactured by combining the drugs Fenfluramine [fen] and Phentermine [phen], which separately have been on the market since the 1970’s. Fen-Phen acts as a weight loss drug in the following way. The desire to consume a normal amount of food by any person is influenced when specific neuro-transmitters inside the brain which gives a person a feeling of satisfaction to a normal eater of food, but in the case of a person who over eats it is not so. Therefore when Fen-Phen is consumed by a person who is obese, an extra amount of serotonin is released which ends the obese persons wish to eat, and notable enduring weight loss results thereof.
